The German Shepherd is a rather noble and protective breed of dog that is usually trained to serve as a police officer or therapy puppy due to its intelligence and docile heart.
But this time, a young man named Sarge didn’t need any training to take in orphaned or injured deer that came to his house; he just did it out of the goodness of his heart.
Sarge is from Ohio and has spent the last nine years ruling over his owner’s house. Since he was a puppy, his temperament had been a little grumpy; he enjoyed biting at his owner’s paws when he needed anything, and he would snarl angrily if someone touched his belongings. But when a new creature came home, the small dog’s irrational inclinations changed.
A wounded deer was lying in the middle of the road when Cheryl Stephen, the puppy’s mother, saw him and decided to help him by scooping him up, putting him in the car, and taking him home.
