The British Horse Society’s volunteers were horrified when they came across a tragic scenario. Just astounding was what they witnessed. A neglected horse that was on the verge of passing away was lying in the mud.
The malnourished horse was discovered by the volunteers in East Durham adjacent to a building.
The Heidi pony was in terrible shape since she had been abandoned and left to perish alone.
Although there was no chance she would live, the scared volunteers decided they should give her a chance.
So they quickly phoned for rescuers’ assistance, who carefully transported the dying horse to the shelter.
Although the rescue team did everything they could to revive Heidi, no one could have predicted that the worn-out horse would show indications of recovery.
But Heidi showed that she has such strength and a strong resolve that she can get beyond any obstacles in her path.
