King Charles is in sh0ck

Captain Ian Farquhar, a close friend of King Charles III and a revered figure in the hunting community, has passed away at the age of 78. Farquhar, known for his distinguished career as Master of the Beaufort Hunt for 34 years, was a cherished part of the royal circle.

Farquhar had a long-standing connection with the King and Queen Camilla and had ridden for the Queen Mother. He also served in the Queen’s Own Hussars, earning admiration for his dedication to country and tradition.

Living on the King’s Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire, Farquhar was remembered by Stephen Parker Bowles, the Queen’s first husband, as “wild as a hawk when young, but always a lot of fun.”

The Beaufort Hunt honored their former Master on Instagram, describing him as a beloved figure who brought humor, wisdom, and kindness to all. Known simply as “Captain” to many, he left an indelible mark on the hunting world and the lives of those around him.

A true gentleman, lover of country, family, and hounds, Ian Farquhar will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
