HER PARENTS COULDN’T COPE WITH HER DISABILITY AND DECIDED TO DUMP HER AT ANIMAL CONTROL RATHER THAN FIND HER THE HELP SHE SO DESPERATELY NEEDED!
One day a woman named Marlena was scrolling through Instagram photos when she came across a black kitten who had Iơst the use of her rear legs. Being a foster mom, she knew right away this kitten would need help if she was going to survivе.
Sadly her previous parents had taken the decision to dump her at animal control as they couldn’t cope with her needs.
That being the case Marlena decided she would do all she could to give this kitten quality of life.
When she got her new guest home she quickly realized just how small the kitten, Raven, was! So she decided to take her to the vet to see what needed to be done to help her.
After a quick examination, the vet stated that Raven was fully paralyzed and said that euthanasia would be the best outcome as the kitten would have no quality of life.
Upset, Marlena refused to accept this and took Raven home.
She instinctively knew that this very feisty kitten had plenty of life in her and therefore plenty of life left to live. That being the case she was not about to give up on Raven.
So one week later she took Raven to see a physical therapist who soon informed her that there was little chance of Raven regaining even a little use of her back legs.
Both Raven and Marlena ignored the dire pronouncements from the vet and the physiotherapist, both just getting on with life.
This proved to be a good decision as Raven scaled both Marlena’s leg and the scratching post proving she was just likе any other kitten.
When it was time Marlena knew that Raven was ready for her forever home. Casting about for the right home Marlena met Michelle, and knew right away she was the perfect mom for Raven. It was hard to let Raven go, however, she was ready for the next stage in her life.
