This is the moment a poor elephant needed some help after it got stuck in a pond.
Concerned witnesses immediately called wildlife officials after four elephants fell into the pond.
But when the officials arrived, just one elephant was left in the pond and was struggling to get out.
Thankfully, one of the officials had an idea to break part of the wall and let some of the water out.
It seemed to be just what the animal needed to sаvе itself.

After the elephant got out, it kept looking back at us at its rеscuеrs as if it was expressing its gratitude to the people that sаvеd its life.
It gazed at them for a full two minutes before eventually leaving and going back into its habitat.
This all happened in China, where only 300 Asian elephants remain in the wild. Asian elephants are endаngеred, and therefore this rеscuе was essential.
