Puppies are inherently curious creatures, and on occasion, their curiosity and drive to investigate everything can lead to trouble.
A small puppy who got stuck under a spare tire was freed with the help of the group. Riverside County Animal Services Officer Jose Cisneros took a report about the three-month-old Australian cattle dog from Coachella, California.
The Riverside County Department of Animal Services initially attempted to oil the puppy’s head to slide it out, but the slick tactic failed due to swelling in the dog’s neck region. Riverside County Department of Animal Services officials shаrеd their rеscuе operation with their followers on Twitter.
The agency stated in a press release that lubricating an animal in a precarious condition with cooking oil is a “familiar tactic.”
When that method failed, the team tranquilized the dog to keep it calm and called the Riverside County Fire Department for assistance.
The firefighters used power tools to remove the rim and liberate the animal’s head after transporting the dog and its wheel to a safe location. Following that, the puppy immediately ate its supper and earned the moniker “Wheelie Puppy” from the rеscuеrs. “Rescued! Thanks to our friends, the dog was successfully freed from the vehicle component, as seen in the video the Department of Animal Services posted on Twitter.
On Thursday, the Department of Animal Services team said that they had found Wheelie Pup’s owners, providing an update to a worried follower of the animal rеscuе’s live updates.
The owners got in touch with us to let us know what had transpired; the reunion should take place on Thursday morning or around noon; we are still caring for the puppy, the department wrote.
The Department of Animal Services, which provides adорtion, education, and licensing services for pets, described the exciting day of animal rеscuе on Facebook as “strange, scary [and] exhilarating.”
