When Stepan was a little child, his mother аbаndоnеd and rеjесted him. However, Svetlana and Yuriy Panteleenko soon adорted him.

“After a really large endeavor, I was psychologically and creatively spent. I thought I was on the verge of depression, and I even thought about giving up taking pictures. There was one minor yearning, though. I was interested in photographing Stepan the bear. Years passed while I observed him. I observed how his owners were treating him because, to me, an animal’s treatment always comes first, and I decided that this would be a wonderful way to cap off my photographic career.
