A mother pet dog was found resting next to the container her nine puppies were placed in in the parking lot of the North Side Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas.

Misty Boerger of Paw Angel Animal Rescue stepped in to save the family at that point. The five-year-old Boxer mix and her two-week-old puppies were loaded into their vehicle by her and the additional volunteers, who then drove them back for examinations.
Dory, the mother, need urgent attention. She had numerous open wounds that needed attention. One of the new puppies sadly passed away, but the others are now living with their mother in a foster home and doing better every day. Once ready, they will all be offered for adoption.
