The Guardian Angel who came to the aid of those trying to save cats and dogs from a burning shelter

A small animal shelter in Atlanta caught fire, and a homeless man in the area put his life in danger to save the 16 dogs and cats that were inside.
According to Gracie Hamlin, the founder of the shelter, a homeless man named Keith Walker, 53, who was on his way to W-Underdogs on December 18 to pick up his pit bull, Bravo, for a walk, was the first person to detect the fire.

Walker, who boards his dog at the shelter at night, rushed into the building while it was on fire in an effort to save the 10 cats and six dogs that were trapped within.

On December 18th, a fire broke out at the W-Underdogs animal shelter in Atlanta, Georgia. Pictured above is Keith Walker, 53, a homeless guy who assisted in the rescue of several dogs at the facility.

Walker, who has been homeless since he was 13 years old, was on his way to the shelter to retrieve his own dog, which he boards there when he is away for the evening.

According to Hamlin, the firefighters had “called animal control,” but Keith was already inside the building bringing out the cats and dogs until everyone was safe. This was done by Keith until everyone was safe.

Walker acknowledged that he was “terrified” by his courage.

He stated to the news organization, “I will not lie.” I was frightened to enter because of the amount of smoke present. In contrast, God placed me there to save these creatures.’

He said, “If you can love a dog, you can love everyone in the world.” I knew I had to help the other dogs since my dog is my best friend and I would not be here without him.

Hamlin designated Walker his “guardian angel.”

Walker is a member of Bravo. W-Underdogs provides food and medical care for the dog.

The fire rendered the W-Underdogs shelter, which is also the founder’s residence, useless. As seen in the photograph, the shelter and home have been damaged.

In a week, W-Underdogs was scheduled to relocate to a new facility, so the animals had a place to go.

According to Hamlin, the fire department determined that the event, which began in her kitchen, was an electrical fire.
