Rescue Dog Completes His Bucket List, Feeling More Alive Than Ever

Morgan, the senior dachshund, was placed in a shelter after the death of his owner. Senior Paws Sanctuary (SPS) was contacted and asked to aid the 18-year-old dog. “They notified us that an elderly, unadoptable dog had arrived,” Morgan’s foster mother Kate Reidy told The Dodo.

Morgan moved in with Reidy and her 10-year-old dog, Charlie. Reidy anticipated that Charlie would be a bit slower owing to his age, but she was sorely mistaken.

Reidy stated, “I joke that Morgan has Benjamin Button sickness.” In the past year that he has been fostered, his personality has expanded and he has become more active.

Reidey, motivated by his enthusiasm for life, decided to create a bucket list for his dog. Morgan has flown in an airplane, met a sergeant and became a junior deputy, attended a baseball game, taken a picture with Santa, jogged on the beach, ridden a motorcycle, and even attended a yoga class.
