Dog Protects His Owner Injured On A Walk By Keeping Him Warm With Hugs

Due to his courageous response, this brave dog has become a social media sensation. The dog attempted to keep a hiker who was hurt warm and secure amid the chilly, snowy mountains of Croatia. Eight-month-old North, an Alaskan Malamute puppy, accompanied his owner on a weekend trek that tragically resulted in an accident.

On the Croatian mountain range of Velebit, the guy, Grga Brkic, slipped and fell 500 feet, severely hurting one of his legs. The hiker was kept warm and secure by North, who faced the storm with Grga, by lying on top of him and covering him with his body, according to People.

Fortunately, Brkic’s rescue was under the control of the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service. The gang posted the incident’s joyful conclusion to their Facebook page as soon as they were secure.

Rescue personnel reported:

“She cuddled up at his side, wrapping her body around him. Even after the savior arrived, he remained faithful; for 13 hours, one of us watched after his guy. This is a lesson on caring for one another that we can all take away.

Croatian rescuers are praising a dog who protected his injured owner from freezing high on a snowy mountain, keeping him warm for 13 hours in the dark until he could get medical attention. “Friendship and love between man and dog know no boundaries,” the county’s mountain rescue service wrote on Twitter Tuesday. A group of 27 rescuers were needed to free the hiker; it was challenging to reach the guy and his dog because of the snow and downed branches. This made it difficult for rescuers to get to Brkic and his companion.

Thankfully, the rescue crew was able to get the guy and North to the hospital without incident. The hiker fell and shattered his lower leg, injuring his ankle, but due to North, he was unharmed.
